Tua Pek Kong Procession, Penang

This year's Chap Goh Meh was filled with dazzling floats of all shapes and sizes which took the streets of George Town Penang.

Some 60,000 Penangites and tourists braved the crowded streets to watch of the Tua Pek Kong Hneoh Grand Flooat procession which is held once every 12 years.

The procession is held in the Year of the Tiger to wash away the bad luck and bless worshippers with good wealth and health.

There were many tigers on the floats as the animal is believed to be Tua Pek Kong or God of Prosperitys spirit or mascot.
