"isejahtera.penang.gov.my launched" today by Penang chief minister, Lim Guan Eng and EXCO Health and Welfare, Phee Boon Poh. The new website will be operational March 1, 2010. Senior citizens can check the status of their application for Program Penghargaan Warga Emas. Penang senior citizen over the age of 60 will be given RM 100 as a token of appreciation from the state government.
Phee urged all senior citizens to register into this program immediately as the closing date March 8 (5:00pm), 2010 is drawing near.
Phee added that there has been a lot of attempts to sabotage this program by the opposition. And one of them is a rumour that those who registered under this program are automatically a DAP member, said Phee.

I think the Penang Govt should check out those who helped out in the registration program. My mum and aunt registered early last year...but upon checking the isejahtera.penang.gov.my website on 1st March 2010, their names did not appear. Now we have to rush to get them registered again before the deadline...and it is not easy to take two octogenarians out.
