Hilmi, come back and face us

Come back and prove your innocence Hilmi, why go into hiding if you have done nothing wrong? You can't hide forever, be a man and face us. What ever happened between you and Eli before is none of our business and it should be kept between both of you. But to provide these private photos of Eli was not ethical in any kind of relationship, especially when they are used for topple Eli's career in the political arena.

Star KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 19 — Close friends of Hilmi Malek, said to be the ex-boyfriend of Selangor executive councillor Elizabeth Wong remain shocked at the turn of events and are hoping he will step forward to tell his side of the story.

“We do not know anything about the pictures and don’t think he would circulate those pictures,” said one of his friends who spoke on condition of anonymity. They last spoke to him on Saturday, and have been trying to contact Hilmi who is believed to be in Indonesia since Monday (three days ago).

The friends who described Hilmi as someone who is well-read and knowledgeable in politics were also disturbed with misleading reports on his personality. “The story that portrays him as an abusive person is only one sided. He has many times confided to us about his personal problems,” said a friend referring to a report in a Chinese daily accusing Hilmi of physically abusing the Bukit Lanjan assemblyman.

The 32 year old was an aide to PKR MP Hee Loy Sian for nine months before he quit the job in January.

Yesterday the police said they wanted to record a statement from Hilmi and have urged him to come forward to assist in investigations. Meanwhile Wong who has offered her resignation from all positions in the state today said she has left the country “to search for peace of mind to get away from the stormy events surrounding me”.

In a statement today she claimed that she has been informed that more sensational stories of her private life would be published. “I have also been told there will be a fresh assault, with more photographs and videos released and circulated in order to completely degrade and bury me,” said Wong. “This is the darkest episode in my life. I have never felt so alone, vulnerable and humiliated,” she added

Elizabeth Wong goes abroad to rest

Star 19 Feb 2009 PETALING JAYA: Bukit Lanjan assemblyman Elizabeth Wong, who described the furore over her scandalous photographs as the ‘darkest episode’ in her life, has gone overseas. In a press statement on Wednesday, Wong said she had never felt so alone, vulnerable and humiliated since the scandal broke out.

“Despite having tendered my resignation from all posts, the media and websites continue to intrude into my private life and privacy."

“I have been informed by several media that they will continue to publish even more lewd graphical, sensational stories of my private life."

“I have also been told there will be a fresh assault, with more photographs and videos released and circulated in order to completely degrade and bury me,” she said in an e-mail on Thursday. "

She stated that public discussions should not be focused on her but on more important issues such as the coming serious economic recession that would be faced by the nation.

“Unemployment is rising, while corruption remains rampant. I wish public discussions would concentrate on these important issues rather than analysing my private life. My principles remains the same."

“I will not answer any question pertaining to my private life. My private life is not for public scrutiny as I have not broken any law or caused harm to anyone,” she said.

Mainstream medias are getting worst and idiotic

This evening while watching NTV7 news at 7:00pm, I was amazed how the station tried to “protect” the face or the identity of the suspect who distributed Eli’s photos. If we are talking about Hilmi Malek, don’t bother to blur his face. You can find his face almost in every blog that supports Elizabeth Wong and like I mentioned in my previous comment, “Hilmi, you can run but you cannot hide”.

The other night while watching TV3 late news, I noticed that they put up Eli’s photo (face and shoulder photo) at the background for so long. Why not her usual photos?

I sure TV3 has alot of her well dressed photos in their archive. The victim gets the full blown exposure while the suspects gets the blurred faces. Mainstream medias are getting worst and idiotic.

Bullets, Kidnappings & Videotapes

Malaysian Insider KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 19 — A photograph of three bullets, “kidnappings” and CCTV videotapes. These were among the evidence presented or alluded to by Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in parliament today to support his claims that the BN government is using bribery and other unethical tactics to entice defections.

Anwar also alleged that despite police reports, top government officials were deliberately taking no action. He told parliament how Lim Soo Nee, PKR’s state representative for Kulim agreed to be “bait” and worked together with the Anti-Corruption Agency (now called the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission) to secure evidence of alleged bribery attempts made by agents of Datuk Seri Mahadzir Khalid to entice a defection. Mahadzir is the former menteri besar of Kedah. Mahadzir’s agents were alleged to have offered up to RM5 million for a defection, Anwar claimed.

A CCTV recording was purportedly made of a meeting between Lim and Mahadzir at a hotel in Seberang Jaya at the end of last year. Anwar also showed a photograph of three bullets sent to PKR Bakar Arang state representative Tan Wei Shu. It was alleged to have been sent when Tan declined an offer to defect.

Anwar promises proof of BN blackmail

Let’s empty the closet, people need to know the “tricks” politicians use to discredit or “eliminate” others. Abang Anwar, expose them and describe the details in full.

Malaysian Insider KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 18 — Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says he will expose how threats and inducements are used against Pakatan Rakyat state assemblymen and members of parliament in his speech in parliament tomorrow.

“I am going to show proof of blackmail in my parliament speech tomorrow,”

Pakatan Rakyat leaders have been under ferocious pressure with talk of defections rife ever since three Perak state representatives switched their support from the fledging coalition earlier this month giving BN a lead in the state assembly and causing the ouster of Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaludin.

It is speculated that the proof that Anwar plans to present tomorrow will be related to the resignation of PKR’s Bukit Selambau state assemblyman V Arumugam on February 8. The resignation was allegedly due to pressure exerted by BN on Arumugam to defect.

Most recently, naked photographs of PKR’s Bukit Lanjan state representative Elizabeth Wong have been leaked to the media and Pakatan Rakyat has been quick to label the photos as BN’s attempt at gutter politics aimed at discrediting the Selangor state government with which Wong was a state executive councillor.

Cops to record statement from Wong’s ex-boyfriend

When there is a buyer, there is always a seller. Signs showed that there was money involved and political motivated. I am sure that the same “offers” are given to those who can provide such low down “evidence” so that it can be used to topple hardworking politicians like Elizabeth Wong. I hope that the police will go deeper rather than just scratching the surface of this case. We demand to know who is the main culprit who ochestrated this event.

Star 18 Feb 2009 SHAH ALAM: Police will record a statement from Bukit Lanjan assemblyman Elizabeth Wong’s former boyfriend over her nude pictures scandal on Wednesday, Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said. He said police had received two nude photographs, as well as a compact disc, of the 37-year-old politician from a Malay Mail journalist. So far, police had recorded statements from two Malay Mail journalists and two other journalists from theSun in connection with the case, he told reporters at a function here. He said police were now monitoring websites which posted the pictures.
He advised those in possession of the politician’s nude pictures to either destroy or hand them over to the police, adding that stern action would be taken against those found distributing the pictures.

On Tuesday, Wong offered to resign as an assemblyman and also Selangor executive councillor over the case. — Bernama
